Tyler Fleming came to Catholic University in the fall of 2005 as the assistant director of athletics and was promoted to senior associate director of athletics in June, 2007. Fleming oversees all internal aspects of the department, including facility and event management, financial operations and student employment. He also supervises select staff as well as five varsity sport programs.

Prior to arriving at CUA, Fleming was at Towson University for four years serving as the coordinator of team support services. In this role, Fleming was responsible for team travel, development of the department operating budget, and event management for several sports. In 2001 he worked as the varsity sports assistant at Yale University. As a graduate associate at Springfield College from 1999-2001, Fleming directed the event management program and served in the role of compliance coordinator. Fleming has been an event manager for several NCAA championship events and has been involved with numerous events outside of intercollegiate athletics, including the 2000 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials in Sacramento, Calif. and the 2001 GMC Envoy US Track and Field Trials in Eugene, Ore.

Fleming earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from Whittier College in 1999. While at Whittier, he earned All-SCIAC track and field honors in the 400 meters, 400 meter hurdles, and the 1600 meter relay. In 2001, he earned a master's degree in athletic administration from Springfield College. Fleming resides in Wheaton, Md., with his wife Jillian.
