Lauren Haynie is in her sixth year at CUA after arriving from Assumption College. In her role, Haynie oversees the operation of the athletic training room. She acts as the primary athletic trainer for the football, swimming and women’s lacrosse teams, while assisting in planning the rehabilitation process for all CUA student-athletes. Haynie supervises a staff of full-time employees while serving as an advisor for both the Student-Athlete Advisory Council and cheerleading team. She also assists in planning educational opportunities for student-athletes in her role as Student-Athlete Affairs Advisor.
A native of Washington, D.C., Haynie received her B.S. in kinesiology from Penn State University. While in school she worked as a student trainer for the Nittany Lions' women's basketball and gymnastics teams. She then earned her master’s of education from Old Dominion University and also worked as a graduate assistant in the ODU athletic training room.
Haynie served as the head athletic trainer at Lane College in Jackson Tenn., for two years before beginning her tenure at Assumption. She has also worked for the National Youth Sports Program as a medical coordinator and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist.
