Lauren Haynie begins her second year at CUA coming from Assumption College.

The Washington, D.C., native received her B.S. in kinesiology from Penn State University.  While in school she worked as a student trainer for the Nittany Lions' women's basketball and gymnastics teams.  She earned her masters of education from Old Dominion University and also worked as a graduate assistant in the ODU training room.

Haynie served as the head athletic trainer at Lane College in Jackson Tenn., for two years before beginning her tenure at Assumption.  She also has worked for the National Youth Sports Program as a medical coordinator and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist as well as an American Heart Association First Responder.

Haynie's duties include operating the training room on a daily basis, diagnosing athletic injuries as well as planning and supervising the rehabilitation process for all CUA student-athletes.
