Patrick Ratke joined the Catholic University athletic department in 2005 as an operations assistant while earning his bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in philosophy from CUA. After graduating in 2009, Ratke worked in CUA’s admissions office as the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission. In this role he was responsible for recruiting potential students in the northeast region.
In October of 2011, Ratke joined the athletic department full time and serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Recruitment. He acts as the liaison between athletics and CUA’s admissions office and coordinates the recruiting efforts of potential student-athletes.
Ratke is originally from Williamsport, Pa. where he volunteered as an usher for the Little League World Series for several years and played basketball and baseball in high school. He has two siblings, older brother Joseph, who graduated from CUA’s dual degree program in architecture and engineering and a younger sister Elizabeth, who is currently attending CUA and is a member of the softball team. His grandfather graduated from CUA in 1937 and was the boxing manager. He also played tennis and ran track.
Ratke is currently pursuing his master’s degree in management from CUA and resides in Washington, D.C.
