John J. Long '28

Inducted Feb. 25, 1977

Long was a member of the the "Fearsome Foursome" on the great "Reindeer" squad of 1927 and 1928. He was the star forward on teams that combined to go 27-9 and a regular choice for All-District of Columbia collegiate teams. He also returned to Catholic to coach the Cardinals to their only Division I NCAA Tournament appearance in 1944 and leads in career winning percentage for that season.
