Sharon Hodges Repass, BSN 1981

The first woman to be inducted into the CUA Hall of Fame, Sharon Hodges Repass is also the first woman to score 1000 points, accumulating 1349 career points from 1977 to 1981 on the women's basketball team. Repass, CUA’s all-time leading rebounder with 1227 career rebounds, also holds the all-time rebounding average at 13.5 per game. She was a four-year starter for then Division II CUA and was named a first team All-Tournament selection of the CUA Invitational for four consecutive years.

Repass joins three other family members in CUA’s Hall of Fame: great-grandfather Fred Rice (inducted 1982) was the first men’s basketball coach (1912-1930); grandfather Wilfred Howell (inducted 1978) was a football, track and boxing standout in the 1930s; and great uncle Fred Rice, Jr. (inducted 1996) was a standout on the basketball team in the 1940s.

Sharon’s daughter, Michele (class of 2008) is CUA’s first ever Capitol Athletic Conference Field Hockey Rookie of the Year, a distinction she won in the fall of 2004.
