John C. Libert '63

Libert ran indoor and outdoor track all four years at Catholic, starting in 1954 as a member of Catholic's record setting Mason-Dixon Conference indoor sprint relay. In 1954, he placed first in the conference in the outdoor 100- and 220-yard dash, setting the conference record in the 220 at 21.3 seconds. Libert remained undefeated in the 100 and 220 yard dashses in dual competition for the rest of his career and won the John L. Corbett trophy for track excellence in 1957.
