Robert Hickey '74, '78

Hickey played baseball all four years at CUA and was captain his senior year. His freshman season he ranked eighth in the country in hitting at .423 and was named All-Mason-Dixon Conference. As a sophomore he was a member of the All-Washington, D.C. Metropolitan University Fall Team. His career batting average was .346.
In recognition of his four years of outstanding service to the University as a scholar, an athlete, and a gentleman, Hickey was awarded the 1974 Harris Cup trophy, the most coveted athletic award CUA offers its graduating seniors. He went on to be assistant baseball coach under Bob Talbot until 1977.
