On October 6, 2006, four members of the CUA football team participated in the Worldwide Children's Holy Hour at the the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.  Ryan Bowman, Keith Ricca, Pat Laverty and Travis Dolan processed in carrying the statue the Virgin Mary.  The event was broadcast worldwide on EWTN.  It is an annual celebration held for Catholic children all over the globe to honor Our Lady of Fatima's Children of the Eucharist.  The organization is named after two of the children who had the Blessed Virgin Mary appear to them on several occasions and were beautified by Pope John Paul II.
