On Dec. 6, 2008, the CUA Field Hockey team continued its tradition of volunteering at the Armed Forces Retirement Home, "America's Home of Heroes," near CUA's campus in Washington, D.C. While there, the student-athletes put up Christmas trees, wreaths and other holiday decorations as well as chatted with some of the residents. The players enjoyed lending their time and artistic flair to make the AFRH campus more festive and the residents were very grateful for some holiday spirit. The AFRH provides a premier retirement community for U.S. military veterans through a residential quality care and supportive services environment.
