On Dec.3, 2006, the CUA Field Hockey team spent an afternoon at the Armed Forces Retirement Home, "America's Home of Heroes," near CUA's campus in Washington, D.C. While there, the student athletes decorated for the home's Christmas festivities, served as subjects for a resident artist and played bingo. The AFRH provides a premier retirement community for U.S. military veterans through a residential quality care and supportive services environment.
