On Saturday January 24th, the Catholic University Baseball team continued their annual tradition of cleaning up the streets of Brookland before the season begins. This year's picture was taken in front of the Brookland sign at the beginning of the cleanup. The cleanup circulated 12th street and concluded at the Brookland Firehouse where trash bags were placed in a dumpster.
On December 11th, 2009, the CUA field hockey team spread some Christmas cheer at the Armed Forces Retirement Home. During the visit, the girls sprused up the building with decorations, and spent time with each of the residents. "They liked the girls so much, the coordinator is looking for them to come back!" noted head coach Gia Cillizza.
