Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)

12/2/07 SAAC Meeting Minutes

1. All team SAAC representatives must email their community service for the fall semester to Courtney Pisano as soon as possible.

2. NCAA Convention---Dr. Allen wants to meet with 3 or 4 SAAC reps. on Thursday at 3:30pm to talk about NCAA policies and what they think should be kept/changed.
- 4 people volunteered at the meeting

3. We are holding a 50/50 raffle during the mens and womens basketball game this Wednesday 12/5. The games are at 5:30 and 7:30pm. The tickets will be $1 and the winner will win half of all the money we make/SAAC will get the other half. SAAC reps will be in the Pryz selling tickets in advance on Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 to 2pm.

4. No Athlete's Ball this year. One idea for an "end of the year" event for athletes is to have "Rudy" from the movie, to come and speak to us. We want to know athlete's opinions on this idea...let us know!

5. If your team is going to have a new SAAC representative for next semester, please email Olivia asap with the new person's contact information.
