Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)

2/10/08 SAAC Meeting Minutes

1. End of the year SAAC event: guest speaker, Rudy
-held at the Duf
- Monday night, 4/28; free admission for the entire school
- possible donation: bring in a canned good as your entry fee (all food will be given to the homeless)

2. We will need people to volunteer to hand out Safe Spring Break "I Promise" t-shirts
- we are helping out the Dean of Students office by doing this
- Sat, 4/16 at 6:30 pm at the basketball games

3. May switch our meeting times to Monday nights at 10pm instead of Sunday nights; input appreciated

4. Next year, we may ask for an additional SAAC member to be an underclassman
- when senior SAAC reps. graduate, younger reps. will already know whats going on in SAAC

5. Talk of possibly hanging a sportsmanship banner in the gym...teams sign it?

6. Talk at SAAC conferences of a possible Division 4 in athletics
- would limit Division 3 teams off-season commitments...student athlete input appreciated on this topic..
