CUA then went in front with a pair of runs in the 4th, as Chris McCloud hit his team-leading sixth home run of the season to make it 3-2.
The Royals took the lead right back with three runs in their half of the inning, to go in front 5-3. Eric Pizzico delivered the big blow in the frame, driving in two with a double.
In the 7th, CUA tied things at five when McFarland drove in a pair of Cardinals with a single to left center.
