Hanna captures first Landmark Player of the Week award of 2013
WASHINGTON – Junior Marc Hanna has been named the Landmark
Conference Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday. Hanna
helped lead CUA to a 3-0 opening week of the 2013 season. The New
Jersey native hit .500 with five hits and six runs scored.
Hanna got his season started with a 1 for 4 performance, scoring
one run and totaling five assists in the field in a 4-1 win at Mary
Washington on Wednesday.
Hanna then went 3 for 4 with three runs scored in an 8-3 win over
Muhlenberg in the first of two games on Sunday.
In Sunday’s second game, a 2-1 win over Eastern, Hanna went
1 for 2, and scored the game-tying and winning runs.
Hanna and the Cardinals return to the diamond on Monday afternoon
when they play host to McDaniel at Talbot Field. First pitch is set
for 3 p.m.
