Landmark Conference names Mowatt Pitcher of the Week

WASHINGTON – Robin Mowatt was named the Landmark Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday. The junior hurler went 1-0 in his only appearance last week, throwing a complete game, one-hit shutout against Juniata in an 8-0 CUA win. With that win, Mowatt improved to 4-1 on the season.

Mowatt was nearly unhittable vs. the Eagles, going all seven innings in an 8-0 Cardinals victory. Mowatt struck out two, did not walk anyone and allowed only one hit.

For the season, Mowatt is 4-1 with a 2.23 earned run average. He has thrown 44.1 innings and allowed only 11 earned runs during that time, while striking out 17 and walking just nine.

Mowatt and the Cardinals return to the diamond on Wednesday afternoon when they play host to Salisbury. Start time is set for 3:30 p.m.
