CUA Baseball Predicted to Take Second in Conference Action

WASHINGTON – The CUA men's baseball team is predicted to finish second behind 2013 Landmark Conference foes Moravian according to the conference's preseason poll that was released on Wednesday, Feb. 12. 

Catholic (26-17, 11-7) returns five All-Landmark performers from a year ago including First Team selections Marc Hanna and Robin Mowatt. The Cardinals are charged up to return to the Landmark playoffs after earning the top seed in last year's tournament.

The top four teams in the final regular season standings qualify for postseason play in the Landmark Conference Tournament. The top seed will host a double elimination tournament Saturday, May 3 through Monday, May 5. The conference champion will earn the automatic qualifier to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

The Cards open the 2014 season by hosting the Eastern Eagles on Saturday, Feb. 22 on the Robert J. Talbot Baseball Field.
