Cardinals Drop Game Three, 3-0, to Crusaders

Selinsgrove, Pa. - The Catholic University of America baseball team dropped game three of its Landmark Conference series, 3-0, to Susquehanna University on Tuesday afternoon.

After sweeping the Cardinals on Saturday, the Crusaders came out strong with two runs in the first inning. The two-run advantage stuck through five blank innings, before they earned one more in the bottom of the seventh to go ahead 3-0. 

Freshman Bailey Lewis and sophomore Danny O'Hagan earned Catholic's only two hits of the evening as the Susquehanna pitching staff threw eight strike outs.

On the mound for the Cardinals, junior Karan Sinha threw 6.1 innings with three strikeouts. Freshman Mason Belcher entered for relieve in the seven, while junior Joseph Salzano closed out the game on the rubber for the Cards.

The Cardinal return to the nation's capital to host Bridgewater (Va.) on Thursday, April 14, at 4 p.m.
