Catholic Baseball Sets 2017 Slate

WASHINGTON - The Catholic University of America baseball team's head coach Ross Natoli announces the program's 2017 schedule on Tuesday.

Catholic baseball opens its season on the road, facing St. Mary's College of Maryland on Tuesday, February 21. The Cardinals will travel to two additional regional opponents, Hood College (2/25) and Washington College (3/1) before heading to Myrtle Beach, S.C., for their annual spring break trip.

While in the Palmetto State, Natoli's team will take on five opponents at The Ripken Experience including doubleheaders against Penn State – Berks (3/5) and Mt. Aloysius (3/10). Additionally, Catholic will face Muhlenberg in a nine-inning game on March 7 at Pelicans Stadium.

Upon returning to the nation's capital, the Cardinals will face preseason No. 10 Randolph-Macon on March 14 for their home opener. They open Landmark play hosting Moravian College (4/18-19) in a three-game series.

Catholic hosts conference opponents Susquehanna (4/1-2) and Scranton (4/8-9) while traveling to Drew (3/25-26), Elizabethtown (4/14-15) and Juniata (4/22-23). Each conference series has a seven-inning doubleheader played on the opening day followed by a nine-inning game on day two.

The Landmark Conference semifinal series is slated for May 6-7 followed by the championship series on May 12-13, hosted by the highest remaining seed.
