Catholic Baseball Downs Lenham, 14-1

Myrtle Beach, S.C. - The Catholic University of America baseball team captured an outstanding 14-1 victory over Lehman College on Monday afternoon.

The Cardinal offense exploded earning 14 runs and multiple hits.

Sophomore Ryan Tracy and freshman Cid Porter each cracked doubles and senior Brett Padula went 2-of-2 from behind the plate.

Junior Jake Crist drove in a game-high three RBIs while senior Nicholas Kuczarski had two. Padula and classmate Wyatt Schmidt, junior Brennan Cotter, sophomore Anthony Ferlise and freshman Nolan Lundholm each batted runners in.

Sophomore Collin Brown earned the win for the Cardinals, pitching the first five innings and throwing 10 strikeouts. Senior Christopher Hutton pitched two innings of relief and senior Jonah Jimenez closed out the final two innings.

The Cardinals continue their spring break trip facing Muhlenburg College on Tuesday, March 7, 12 p.m.
