Pat Clark fell to 3-2 on the season.

SALISBURY, Md. - Catholic fell behind early and could not catch up to Salisbury as the No. 9-ranked Sea Gulls eliminated the Cardinals from the CAC Tournament with a convincing 17-0 win. It was the second loss for CUA in the double-elimination tournament.

Salisbury starter Star Kriger kept the Cardinals in check, allowing four hits over six innings while walking two and striking out three. The Sea Gull bullpen came on and threw three shutout innings while only allowing a single hit in the ninth.

Pat Clark (Dunmore, Pa./ Dunmore) took the loss for Catholic (19-16-2). The junior went four innings before relievers Doug Sherry (Millersville, Md./Severna Park), Eric Cortina (East Northport, N.Y./St. Anthony's), Chris Tiedemann (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial), and Mark Werle (Pompano Beach, Fla./Gibbons) came to pitch out of the bullpen.

Catholic resumes play with Western Maryland on Tuesday, April 23, in Westminster, Md.
