Smith started and went five innings, walking eight batters and striking out two. Sobocinski threw two innings, walking two and fanning two while Werle set down the side in the eighth and Tini pitched a perfect ninth inning.

Andrew Burns (Prince Frederick, Md./Calvert) led the offense, as the junior was 2-for-6 including a grand slam in the sixth and a double in the ninth. Freshman John Schmidt (Silver Spring, Md./Blake) scored four times as he finished 2-for-5.

The Bison (3-18, 0-10 CAC) got a run in the third as Mike Wiesner walked, advanced to third on wild pitches and then scored off a fielder's choice. Gallaudet plated two more runs in the fifth after consecutive walks and a wild pitch followed by a fielding error in right.
