WASHINGTON - Salisbury's Corey Wiley tossed a four-hit complete game as the Sea Gulls shut down Catholic, 7-0, Saturday afternoon at Talbot Field in a Capital Athletic Conference contest.

Wiley fanned nine and only walked four. Two of the four Catholic hits came in the ninth inning, as Wiley didn't allow a runner past second base until the ninth.

Trey Cobb was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI single in the first as the Sea Gulls jumped to an early lead off of CUA starter Adam Weiss, plating two runs in the first and three in the second. The senior went seven innings giving up 10 hits, seven runs (four earned), while striking out six.

Salisbury (20-7-1, 8-1 CAC) then tacked on two runs in the fifth on back-to-back RBI singles with the bases loaded to put the Sea Gulls up 7-0.

Junior Bernie Dennis and freshman Kevin Conley accounted for the Cardinal's four hits, as each went 2-for-4 respectively.

Catholic (16-10, 3-5 CAC) left seven runners on and hit into three double plays.

The Cardinals are back in action tomorrow with a non-conference doubleheader against Frostburg State here at Talbot Field starting at noon.
