Grear named Landmark Conference POW for a second time

WASHINGTON – For the second time this season Dave Grear has been named the Landmark Conference Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday.  In four games for CUA last week Grear hit .462 with a team-leading six RBI and an on-base percentage of .588.

Grear totaled six hits in 13 at-bats for the Cardinals last week.  The senior went 2 for 2 with three RBI in CUA's 13-2 win over Juniata on March 26 and the very next day he went 2 for 3 with a run scored and another run batted in as the Cardinals won 10-2 vs. the Eagles.

For the season Grear is batting .361 in 18 games with 22 hits, 13 runs scored and a team-best 20 runs batted in.  He has two doubles and a home run during that time.

Grear and CUA are off until heading to Shenandoah on Thursday afternoon for a showdown with the nation's No. 1 team.  First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
