Olivero Named ODAC Defensive Player of the Week
Junior had three interceptions in Cardinal victory

WASHINGTON - Junior defensive back Nick Olivero (Fairfax, Va./W.T. Woodson) has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for week nine of the 2007 football season.  Olivero and the Cardinals improved to 5-3 on the season defeating the Emory & Henry College Wasps 31-21 Saturday afternoon.

Olivero had three interceptions in the victory and the Cards forced eight turnovers for the game.  His three INT's ties for the second slot in the CUA and ODAC record books, the last time a Cardinal had three interceptions in a game was in 1995.  He also had five tackles in the game and two big breakups for the Cards.  Olivero is currently ranked third on the team in tackles with 53 for the year, he is leading the league in interceptions this season with six.

CUA will host its final home game of the season next Saturday versus Guilford College.  Kickoff is scheduled for noon.
