Ouellette named a preseason All-American by CDS
WASHINGTON – CUA sophomore kick returner Andrew Ouellette
has been named a preseason honorable mention All-American by
Consensus Draft Services (CDS), it was announced on Monday.
Ouellette is one of only four student-athletes from the ODAC
selected to the teams.
Ouellette had a strong first season for CUA in 2010, returning 31
kicks for 913 yards, good for an average of 29.5 per return.
He returned two of the kicks for touchdowns, including a 94-yarder
that he took to pay dirt late in the fourth quarter to seal
CUA’s win over Guilford.
A native of Salisbury, Massachusetts, Ouellette led the entire ODAC
in kick return average last year and his two touchdowns also topped
the conference. He totaled over 100 return yards in four
games, topping out with 172 at Randolph-Macon.
Ouellette also returned one punt and caught six passes on the
year.

Ouellette and the Cardinals will open their 2011 season on
Saturday, September 3 when they take on McDaniel on the road in a
noon kick-off. CUA’s home opener will take place under
the lights on Friday, September 16 when it hosts Carnegie Mellon
inside Cardinal Stadium. Start time is slated for 7 p.m.
