WASHINGTON – Anthony Albanese, a senior from Long Valley, N.J., led a dominating defensive effort by Catholic as the Cardinals forced two turnovers and held Shenandoah to just 199 yards of total offense, including 90 yards thru the air, in a 37-7 road win. Albanese led the Cardinals with 11 total tackles including five solo stops. He was in the Hornets' backfield for much of the afternoon, racking up 3.5 tackles for a loss that cost SU 15 yards of offense. Included in that total was a quarterback sack to end the first half of play. He had two other stops of no gain, bringing his totals to six defensive plays where SU either lost or did not gain any yards. Albanese is currently #1 in the ODAC with seven sacks, which have cost opposing offenses a league-high 57 yards of offense. His 26 solo tackles are fifth in the league, while his 42 total stops rank 10th.
