On Oct. 20, 2013, Albanese was named ODAC Player of Week for leading the defensive effort against Shenandoah by holding the Hornets to just 199 yards of total offense, including 90 yards thru the air, in a 37-7 victory that snapped a two-game losing streak. Albanese led the Cardinals with 11 total tackles including five solo stops. He was in the Hornets' backfield for much of the afternoon, racking up 3.5 tackles for a loss that cost SU 15 yards of offense. Included in that total was a quarterback sack to end the first half of play. He had two other stops of no gain, bringing his totals to six defensive plays where SU either lost or did not gain any yards.
