Former CUA Defensive Coordinator Named Lafayette’s Defensive Coordinator

Official Lafayette Release

WASHINGTON - Art Link, who launched his collegiate coaching career as a defensive coordinator and the defensive backs coach at Catholic under the helm of current head coach Dave Dunn was named Lafayette's new defensive coordinator on Wednesday.

Link is just the second defensive coordinator in Lafayette head coach Frank Tavani's 15-year tenure at the helm of the College Hill program.  He replaces John Loose who joined the coaching staff at Army in early February.

During his stint at Catholic, Link turned around a squad that posted the worst defensive season in school history (2005), molding the unit into the school's best defense in history the very next year. He added special teams duties, focusing on punt team and kickoff coverage.

Since Catholic, Link has been turned around defensive programs at Campbell (Buies Creek, N.C.) and University of New Hampshire (Durham, N.H.).
