Seven named to All-ODAC teams  

WASHINGTON--- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference released its 2002 all-conference teams and seven members of Catholic were honored on this year's squads. Senior Gary Mann (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Central Catholic) and sophomore Nick Bublavi (Norwood, Pa./Interboro) were named to the first team. Seniors Tokollo Moffat (Wheaton, Md./Good Counsel), Scot Lutte (Walnutport, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic), and Ryan Welsh (Wilmington, De./Salesianum) garnered second team honors while Bill Sutton (Columbia, Md./DeMatha) and Mike Martin (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) were on the Honorable Mention list.

Mann, a center, was part of an offensive line that produced 381 yards a game while just yielding 16 sacks.

Bublavi led the ODAC and was 5th in Division III in receiving yards a game (120.6) and scoring (14 touchdowns). The sophomore was the CUA leader with 62 receptions for 1,206 yards. Bublavi was named the ODAC offensive Player of the Week for in the game vs. Washington & Lee.

Moffat gained 636 yards on 141 carries and seven touchdowns. He also caught 11 passes for 94 yards and a score. Lutte, a first-team selection last season at defensive end, led the squad with seven sacks and was second on the team with 13 tackles for losses.

Welsh, a linebacker, made a team-leading 58 tackles (36 solo), posted 16 tackles for losses, added six sacks, and had two interceptions. For his efforts against Frostburg, Welsh was named ODAC and Don Hansen's Tri-National Defensive Player of the Week.

Sutton led the ODAC in passing yards (2,502) and helped CUA to be the 23rd ranked team in pass offense (270.4 ypg) in Division III. Sutton tied a single-game record for pass attempts against Emory & Henry going 27-of-54 for 397 yards and five touchdowns.

Martin posted 44 tackles from his free safety position. He also was credited with four pass breakups and an interception. Martin also tallied one sack and a blocked kick.
