BUBLAVI NAMED AFCA ALL-AMERICAN (December 13, 2005)

WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Catholic University senior Nick Bublavi has earned All-American honors by the American Football Coaches Association.

The senior wide receiver from Norwood, Pennsylvania, led all NCAA Division III receivers in catches (101) and yards (1,797) in 2005. He also caught 15 touchdown passes this season. Bublavi was also named to the D3football.com All-South Region team as well as first team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

Bublavi set numerous school and Old Dominion Athletic Conference. He set ODAC career records in receiving yards (4,485) and touchdowns (43) and shattered the school record for receiving yards in a game with 12 catches for 386 yards and three touchdowns against Division I-AA LaSalle while setting the school's career record for receiving yards.

Bublavi will compete in the 2005 Aztec Bowl in Toluca, Mexico for the United States team against the Mexican national team this Saturday, December 17.
