RICCA, OLIVERO NAMED CONFERENCE PLAYERS OF WEEK (September 26, 2005)

SALEM, VA-- Quarterback Keith Ricca and defensive back Nick Olivero have been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.

Ricca set school records for completions (34) and attempts (57) in Saturday's 28-24 victory over Randolph-Macon. Ricca threw for 407 yards and four touchdown passes, including the game-winner to Nick Bublavi with :55 remaining.

Olivero had 11 tackles in CUA's victory as the Cardinal defense held the Yellow Jackets to just 261 yards of offense.

The Cardinals are idle this week, but return to action on October 8th in Lexington, Virginia where they'll face Washington and Lee in their second ODAC showdown of 2005.
