CUA to Play in ECAC Southeast Bowl
Nov. 17, 2008
CUA's football team will play Johns Hopkins University in the
Eastern College Athletic Conference Southeast Bowl on Saturday,
Nov. 22, at noon in Baltimore.
The Cardinals finished the regular season with eight wins and two
losses. This will be the first time the team has faced Johns
Hopkins (also 8-2) since 1990. Since 1947, the teams have met on
the field seven times. The Cardinals have won three of those games
and tied once.
Saturday's game will be the last for CUA quarterback Keith Ricca,
who surpassed 11,000 career passing yards in this past weekend's
game against Bridgewater College. During the season, Ricca was
named player of the week for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference
three times and to the D3Football.com team of the week after his
530-yard, five-touchdown day against Guilford College on Nov. 8.
