Following career day, Cordivari named ODAC Player of the Week
WASHINGTON – Following a 304-yard, five touchdown
performance on Saturday, CUA sophomore quarterback Greg Cordivari
was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Offensive
Player of the Week on Sunday. The Pennsylvania native
established career-highs in completions, yards, touchdown passes
and longest pass in CUA’s 42-32 win over Apprentice School on
Saturday afternoon.
Cordivari put on a passing clinic in the Cardinals win over the
Builders as he tossed touchdown passes of 31, 6, 5, 7 and 59
yards. His 59-yard scoring strike to classmate Alonzo Cooke
in the third quarter established a new career-long as the sophomore
signal caller completed over 77-percent of his passes on the
day.
With Cordivari running the show, CUA’s offense was hitting
on all cylinders as all five of the Cardinals’ offensive
scoring drives took less than two minutes. In all, CUA racked
up 425 yards of total offense and held the ball for over 33
minutes.
CUA will return to the field on Saturday, September 18 when the
Cardinals play host to McDaniel inside Cardinal Stadium.
Kick-off is set for 12:00 and for those fans that cannot make it
out to the game, cuacardinals.com will broadcast the contest
live.
