CUA Athletics to show live video of all home football games
WASHINGTON – CUA Athletics has announced that for the
second consecutive year it will show every home football game live
on cuacardinals.com, beginning with the opener on September
11. Dustin White, Frank Persico and Darin Hazel will handle
the broadcasting duties.
“We’re very excited to once again offer our parents,
alums and fans a chance to see each of our home football games live
on cuacardinals.com,” CUA Athletic Director Mike Allen
explained. “Dustin, Frank and Darin are looking forward
to working with one another in the booth this season and we know
they’re going to do a terrific job.”
Back for his second season of serving as the lead broadcaster of
Cardinals football, Dustin White serves as CUA’s manager of
video production and new media. He has worked at the
university since September of 2006. White graduated from Penn
State University with a B.A. in film production. He lives in
Silver Spring, Md., with his wife, Wendy, and son, Boden.
Catholic University’s vice president for university
relations and chief of staff, Frank Persico has worked at CUA for
over three decades in a variety of roles. Among them are dean
of students, executive director of alumni relations and associate
dean of the university’s law school.
Darin Hazel is the Action Sports Director at Woodward Camp, an
extreme sports camp located in Woodward, Pa. He graduated
from Juniata College with a B.S. in elementary education and was a
four year letterwinner on the basketball team. Hazel coaches
men’s and women’s basketball in central Pennsylvania
and resides in State College.
CUA will begin its 2010 home schedule this Saturday, September 11
when the Cardinals play host to the Builders of Apprentice
School. Kick-off is slated for 1:00 and all of the action will be shown live on
cuacardinals.com.
The Cardinals enter the game at 1-0 following an exciting 16-13
victory at Shenandoah in the season opener on September 4.
