Catholic University has had the best overall success in its 24
seasons of Division III competition, with an overall record of 44
games over .500 in that span. The program tied an NCAA Division III
record with a seven-game improvement from 1993 (1-9) to 1994 (8-2)
and reached the Division III playoffs for the first time with an
undefeated regular season in 1997.
The 1977 team carries home the Steven Dean Memorial
Trophy after beating Georgetown 27-22.
