Former Cardinal offensive lineman Nate Luongo is in his first
season as an assistant coach with the CUA program. Luongo
assists with the Cardinals’ offensive line, which he played
for three years at CUA.
Luongo served as a social work intern in 2012 with the Tortured
Abolished and Survivor Support Coalition (TASSC) where he worked as
a case manager for survivors of torture on a day-to-day basis.
Luongo also served two stints as an intern with Family Services
Inc., where he was responsible for leading support groups for
patients with Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder.
During his time on the CUA football team, Luongo helped the
Cardinals to their most wins since 2008 and also paved the way for
the nation’s fourth ranked passing attack in 2011.
Luongo is currently completing his coursework at CUA and expects
to receive his bachelor’s degree in social work in 2013.
