Marcus Cole returns for his fourth season on the Cardinals staff and second as the defensive line coach.  

Cole played outside linebacker for the University at Buffalo in the 1999 and 2000 seasons and was named team captain by the players and coaches during the 2000 season.  He was nominated for Defensive Player of the Week and All-MAC honors during his tenure at UB.

In 2011, CUA defensive lineman Rob Schaetzl received All-ODAC honors after finishing third on the team with 59 tackles, in addition to 3.5 tackles for loss and a sack. Overall, the CUA defensive line registered 8.5 of the Cardinals' 15 sacks on the season, led by Vinny Cortese with 5.0.  

Cole, a Buffalo, N.Y. native, has a master's degree in urban planning from the University at Buffalo and currently is a Lean Six Sigma Analyst on the Process Improvement Team for Fannie Mae.

Cole resides in Washington, DC and has a two year old son named Aubrey.
