Oveston Cox is in his third year with the Catholic University football program, serving as the linebackers coach.  In 2011, two CUA linebackers received All-ODAC recognition, including First Team selection James Fucillo.  Fucillo then went on to earn All-Region honors after compiling 89 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries and an interception.  Overall, three of CUA's top four tacklers were linebackers, led by All-Conference selection Conor Stueckler.

Cox played running back, wide receiver, cornerback, and strong safety during his scholastic and collegiate career.  He is a former member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, as part of the Bridgewater College defense that ranked 11th in the nation with 20 interceptions in 1996.  He also excelled in track and field as a former Virginia Central Region Champion sprinter.
