Drisko comes to Brookland after six seasons at the Division I level, most recently the University of Southern Mississippi with previous stops at the University of Kentucky and Texas Tech University.

"I am excited to add Max as our offensive coordinator. He is an innovative football coach who is primed to run an offense. He is one of those tacticians that really enjoys the strategy of the game,” said coach Gutelius. “Max has learned from some of the sharpest football minds in the country and has invaluable experience gained at the at the highest level of college football.”

At Southern Miss, Drisko served as offensive graduate assistant and worked directly with the Golden Eagles’ quarterbacks. Additionally, he organized recruiting efforts for head coach Jay Hopson in the South Louisiana area, while he also helped develop weekly gameplans alongside Offensive Coordinator Shannon Dawson.

“I want to thank Coach Gutelius and Mr. Sullivan for this amazing opportunity. Catholic University is a special place where student-athletes can come and grow not only as football players, but more importantly as young men. By choosing Catholic University, student-athletes are making a 40-year decision, not just a four-year decision,” said Drisko. “Catholic University provides the unique opportunity to get elite-level athletic training and elite academic development that will set them up with the skills to succeed for the rest of their lives. I'm fired up to get going and I can't wait to get to work."

Prior to his season stint in Hattiesburg, Miss., Drisko spent three years at Kentucky, where he was a graduate assistant with the quarterbacks in 2014 after he as a graduate assistant manager in 2013. He earned his Master’s Degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion from UK in 2015.

Before Kentucky, he worked as a student assistant coach at Texas Tech from 2010-13 under former UK offensive coordinator Neal Brown. While at Tech, he also worked closely with UK assistant coaches Chad Scott and Tommy Mainord and was hands-on in helping the Red Raiders become one of the best offensive teams in the country. TTU ranked sixth nationally in passing in 2010, seventh in 2011 and second in 2012, and won two straight bowl games while Drisko was a part of the staff.
