Cardinals headed to Lynchburg for NCAA Tournament 1st Round
WASHINGTON – The Landmark Conference champion CUA field hockey team learned its NCAA Tournament fate early Monday morning, and in a rematch of last year's NCAA second round game, the Cardinals will travel to face Lynchburg College. The game will take place on Wednesday, November 7 with the winner moving on to face Messiah College in the regional round this weekend.
CUA won its second straight Landmark Conference title on Sunday, downing Drew 3-2 inside Cardinal Stadium. The Cards jumped out to a 1-0 lead before the Rangers tied the game, but CUA scored the next two and held on to win the championship.
