Harwood earns second straight weekly award
WASHINGTON – For the second straight week, sophomore Colleen Harwood was named the Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday. Harwood led CUA with two goals and five points in a pair of games for the No. 7 Cardinals last week.
Harwood began her week with one of CUA's four goals in a 4-0 shutout of Gettysburg on Wednesday. The Maryland native finished with three shots on the day, including two on goal.
Harwood then scored once and handed out an assist in the Cardinals 3-2 setback to Rowan over the weekend. This time, Harwood totaled seven shots, and had a hand in both of CUA's second half goals.
For the season, Harwood has scored four goals and handed out two assists for 10 points. She leads CUA in points and goals.
CUA and Harwood face a tough test next time out when the Cardinals travel to face No. 2 Salisbury on Wednesday evening. Start time is set for 6 p.m.
