Catholic Field Hockey Squad Predicted To Finish First

WASHINGTON - After seizing its second consecutive Landmark Conference Championship title in 2012, the coaches of the conference have selected the Catholic University Field Hockey  team to obtain its third title this 2013 season. 

With 57 points and five first place finish votes, the Cards were selected over Drew with 40 points and one first place vote, and Juniata and Scranton who each tallied 31 points. 

"It's an honor to be recognized by our peers in the conference. We are looking forward to a great season," said head field hockey coach Gia Cillizza. 

The mighty black and red open the season on Friday, Aug. 30 at Cardinal Stadium with a 7:00 p.m. matchup against the Shorewomen of Washington College.
