Cardinal Field Hockey Defeats Juniata in Conference Action

WASHINGTON - On Saturday, the Cards upset Juniata on their home field with a 2-1 victory in Huntingdon, Pa., to advance to second place in the Landmark Conference and boast an overall record of 10-4 and 4-1 in the conference. 

Kim Hermann put CUA on the board with a rebound off a second shot during the first half.  Madalyn Dennis advanced the score to 2-0 on a rebound off a shot by Colleen Harwood in the second half.

With four minutes remaining in the contest, Juniata's Sarah Bilheimer chipped the ball in off a pass from Cassie Clarence to avoid a home shutout.

Catholic welcomes Ursinus on Tuesday, Oct. 29 for the final non-conference game of 2013.
