Final Five Minute Surge Secures 2-1 Non-Conference Victory

WASHINGTON – With 5 minutes and 10 seconds on the clock the No. 20 Cardinal field hockey team went from a 1-0 deficit to a 2-1 victory over No. 15 Ursinus on Tuesday at Cardinal Stadium.

The non-conference win advances CUA to 11-4 on the season.

Hayley Wright completed a pass in front of the goalie from Kim Hermann.  Hermann put the Cards ahead with an unassisted goal to conclude the contest.

After the halftime intermission, UC's Abby Wood broke the 0-0 mark with an unassisted goal.

The Cardinals close out the regular season with a Landmark Conference contest against Scranton at Cardinal Stadium.  Prior to the 1 p.m. start, CUA will honor senior goalkeeper Megan Comunale.
