WASHINGTON - Catholic University of America head field hockey coach Gia Cillizza welcomes Emily Sencindiver to the Cardinal coaching staff.
"It is so nice to have one of your own join the staff," Cillizza said. "Emily's energy and enthusiasm coupled with her experience as a teacher and coach for the past three years will be great for our program. I love welcoming our players back to their hockey home."
Sencindiver graduated from Catholic University with a degree in elementary education in May 2011. A four-year member of the field hockey program, Sencindiver helped captain the squad in her senior year. During her career, she was an integral part of the program's first ECAC championship, two Landmark Conference regular season titles, a top 20 ranking and a record-setting 17-win season as a senior.

Upon graduation, Sencindiver became a teacher, head field hockey coach and assistant lacrosse coach at the Norfolk Collegiate School in Norfolk, Va.
