  • Day Leads Catholic to Landmark Win

    The Catholic University of America field hockey team won its Landmark Conference opener at Susquehanna thanks to two goals from senior forward Rachel Day who scored two goals which included the gamewinner. With the 4-1 victory, the Cardinals improve to 6-2 overall and 1-0 in the league.

Sophomore forward Katie Anderson earned Offensive Athlete honors while senior goalkeeper Sophia Hamilton garnered the Defensive Athlete of the Week accolade.

    The Catholic University of America field hockey team was recognized by the nation’s coaches as they were one 25 teams in the Penn Monto / National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Preseason Poll. The Cardinals received 68 points, 24th-best in the country.

    The Catholic University of America field hockey team was voted atop the Landmark Conference Preseason Coaches Poll as announced by the league office on Friday. The Cardinals tied with Elizabethtown for the No. 1 spot as each team garnered 62 points.

    WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America field hockey head coach Heidi Lewis revealed the Cardinals’ opponents for the 2017 schedule on Friday. The Cards open the year and their quest to return to the top of the Landmark Conference and the NCAA Tournament at home against The College of New Jersey on Saturday, September 2 at 2 p.m.
