Snyder's goals lead CU past SMC Sept. 8, 2001

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - Senior Andi Snyder (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Sacred Heart) scored twice, including the game-winner with 5:58 remaining in the first overtime to lead Catholic to a 2-1 win over St. Mary's (Md.) in a CAC contest. With the win, CUA evens its conference record to 2-1 and 3-1 overall while the Seahawks fell to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in the CAC.
Sophomore Tricia Hines (Churchville, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy) assisted on both goals for the Cardinals.

St. Mary's Sarah Hill tied the game at 1-1 with her unassisted goal with just 12:55 remaining in the game.

The Seahawks tried to take the lead but were turned away by goalie Katie Iannacone (Havertown, Pa./Villa Maria). The junior made five second-half saves to give her eight total stops on the day. Seahawk keeper Nicole Davis made 14 saves for St. Mary's.

Head Coach Lisa Thompson praised her team's performance. "We worked really hard in overtime and our second efforts helped us win the game."
