Catholic drops fifth in a row Oct. 12, 2002

FROSTBURG, Md. - Catholic dropped its fifth game in a row as Frostburg State handed the Cardinals a 2-1 loss Saturday afternoon in non-conference game.

After a scoreless first half, the Bobcats struck first just 1:41 into the second, as Heather Kanowicz made it 1-0.

Sophomore Rebecca Clark (Pasadena, Md./Seton Keough), above, tied it at 1-1 two minutes later with an unassisted tally, her sixth goal of the season.

Kim Smith would put Frostburg State (9-5) ahead for good with her goal at the 51:50 mark.

Goalie Katie Iannacone (Havertown, Pa./Villa Julie) made 14 saves in the loss. The Cardinals (5-6) return to action on Monday, October 14th as they play at Johns Hopkins
