WASHINGTON - St. Mary's upset Catholic, 2-1, in the quarterfinal round of the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament on Sunday afternoon.

But just eight minutes later in the 27th minute, the Seahawks' Sarah Hill tied it at 1-1 as she scored off a penalty corner.

St. Mary's (6-10) scored the eventual game-winner as Sarah Slone was able to put one past CUA keeper Katie Iannacone (Havertown, Pa./Villa Maria) with just two seconds before the half.

The Cardinals (6-11) had trouble mustering enough offense in the second half to get the equalizer as Catholic recorded just two shots in after halftime.

Iannacone finished with five saves while her counterpart, SMC goalie Whitney Fahrman also had five saves.

Catholic finishes the season 6-11 under first-year head coach Gia Fenoglio.
